Landlubbers, Again! (Hopefully Not For Long!)

Well, a few days turned into a few more. As we waited, we toured Salem, walking and biking. The bikes are great and have made getting around quite enjoyable. The marina has been more than accommodating of us - great facilities! Safe Harbor Hawthorne Cove Marina gets a big thumbs up from us!

A few pictures - Salem is a lovely little town - very focused on witches and the sea. We did bike to Marblehead - not intentionally - so very close to get to though, as it turns out. The House of the Seven Gables, the Custom House, the Maritime Museum, the Salem With Museum and a few other pix to see.

Today, we have answers - not necessarily what we wanted to hear, but certainly more definitive information with which to make plans. Hitting a lobster buoy in the Bay of Fundy has translated to a need for possible strut replacement on the starboard engine.

So, the boat is out of the water and we are in a hotel - for tonight anyway. Tomorrow we will find out the timeline for this repair process, and make a decision as to whether to stay or fly home for the interim.

Before we go though, we just might hop onto the Tiki Hut Boat - looks like fun! It launched from our dock every day for 90 minute tours all day, every day. It truly is 5 o'clock somewhere, all the time!!
